Art. 54-bis of D.Lgs. 209/2025 (implementing EU Directive 2023/2673) requires all Italian e-commerce stores to provide customers with an accessible digital mechanism to exercise the right of withdrawal within 14 days of purchase. The mechanism must guide the consumer through the withdrawal declaration, certify the date and time of receipt, and automatically send written confirmation on a durable medium (email with evidentiary value). Non-compliance exposes sellers to administrative penalties.
